When I tell my lovely wife that I’m not a fan of “romantic” comedies, I’m of course referring to the Hollywood schlock that passes for stories about “real” or idealised relationships. But so far, I’ve only been able to point out movie titles that, to me, are the epitome of vomit-inducing, saccharin-saturated, impossibly utopian rom-coms.
Well, now, I have a perfect example of what is, for me, a true romantic story. This award-winning short film, written by Rebecca Sue Haber and directed by Brian McAllister has, at its core, a real heart and soul. Needless to say, the room became very dusty by the end.
