Tarzan on the Big Screen

Tarzan has been portrayed on the big and small screen since 1918. Some actors were successful in the role, some less so. Have fun determining your favorite in this short chronological history of the actors who have donned the loin cloth.

In my humble opinion, the closest we ever got to a great interpretation of Edgar Rice Burroughs creation was Greystoke : The Legend of Tarzan of the Ape (1984). Not a terrific batting average if you ask me. But this trailer for an upcoming animated motion capture movie has me excited. Here it is for your viewing pleasure.

Bonus content Here is probably the most famous scene ever from a Tarzan movie, that of the Lord of the Jungle swimming with a naked Jane (I kid you not). You have to see it to believe it. Enjoy.
