Seeing the world through P!NK-coloured glasses

I love music. All kinds of music. Unfortunately, I no longer have the leasure to explore the medium the way I could when I was single. That is why I am thrilled when I chance upon a musician whose body of work is unfamiliar to me, but whose lyrics and melodies are in tune with my musical tastes. That is how I felt when I first discovered one of my favorite female artists to date : P!NK.

What makes her so special in my book? In her case, I would say it’s more the sum of her parts than one particular attribute (and I don’t mean any double entendre by it. Really!). She’s sassy, bold, and defiant. She has a sexy, smoky voice that screams REBEL. And she doesn’t seem to take herself too seriously. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t know her from Eve. And you can’t know a singer just by listening to her music. But that’s the image I get of this artist from the following videos.

Stupid girls If you think that P!NK is simply another cookie-cutter bimbo that churns out pop pap, think again. This video is a really empowering to women everywhere. But what do I know, I’m just a guy.

U + Ur hand Uhhh. Empowering to women? Not so much this time around. But like I said before, I’m just a guy. So sue me for liking this one.

So what I love how P!NK can take such a heart wrenching experience and turn it into pure gold.
