Christmas Specials : The Tailor of Gloucester

Every year, about a month before the Holidays, I dust off my collection of Christmas themed specials and sit down to watch them with my wife and kids while munching popcorn and sipping eggnog.

Throughout the years, this selection has dwindled to a few standards as some “classics” have simply lost their appeal. For instance, I have fond memories of seeing Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Frosty the Snowman as a kid but, for some reason, I can’t stand to watch any Rankin/Bass productions any more (bah humbug!).

So let me introduce to you a Christmas special I am found of : The Tailor of Gloucester. This little known animated film is a wonderful Christmas tale set in the fantastical world of Beatrix Potter. With this selection, I will hopefully fulfil one of the mandates that I have set for myself in producing this blog, that of introducing my readers to new stories. Enjoy!
